As I suspected, the URL wrapped, but here's a Tiny URL one
which won't.

There is a very good Microsoft article covering this at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/tips/advanced
/autologon.mspx

Watch the URL for wrap. It should end in "/autologon.mspx".

Subject: [VICUG-L] Login screen?

My wife just got a new computer running XP Home. When the
machine is
powered up, a login screen comes up, even though she is the
only user of the
machine.
How can I deactivate that screen so that the machine goes
directly to the
desk top without intervention?

Thanks.
