Hello:

The DAISY Consortium invites you to submit requirements for additions or
changes to the DAISY Standard, ANSI/NISO Z39.86. This is an open call for
requirements submission. Input from the DAISY membership, individuals who
use material in an accessible format, commercial publishers, educators,
information providers, developers, and others involved in related activities
is being sought. Requirements may be submitted on behalf of an individual or
group of individuals.

The requirements gathering process is now open and will be concluded March
31, 2008.

Information about the DAISY Standard, the Advisory Committee, DTDs etc. is
in the Standards area of the DAISY Web site: http://www.daisy.org/z3986/.
The direct link to the current 2005 Standard is:

For additional information about submission of requirements for the DAISY
Standard go to:
http://www.daisy.org/z3986/requirements/. Information about requirement
submission and an online submission form are provided. Submitted
requirements are listed for viewing and comment.

Please circulate this message to other lists or individuals to whom this
will be of interest; please avoid cross-postings where possible.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions, input, and comments, and for
helping us to ensure that the DAISY Standard continues to meet accessible
multimedia information and reading needs around the world.
