I have been trying to download and read a PDF and something is going wrong. I can't tell if the file is really downloading, and I get a msg that says an io error has occurred and the file (I think) has timed out.
II'm on the brink of insanity! Can't figure out whether this is a Jaws or Adobe or file-related issue. Does anyone know of anything I can try? When the file is (supposedly) downloading, I can't hear anything or get any speech except by routing jaws to pc, but I don't even know if that's worth doing. I just get lots of graphic numbers.
Is another earlier version of Jaws better for this purpose? If I am using the most recent version of Jaws, have a previous one on my computer and want to use that earlier one instead, how do I switch?
Thanks for any help, and all sympathy and empathy is appreciated. I've been messing around with this for what seems like forever.
And, one more thing: What in the world is the Freedom Import Printer? Does that mythical item figure into the hassle I'm having? If so, how?
Thanks again!
