I was also going to recommend Windows Defender, as well as, Super      
from http://www.superantispyware.com/support.html. Interestingly enough, 
one of the reasons I switched to Super AntySpyWare from Windows Defender 
was because I was never sure if Windows Defender was ever doing 
anything! :-)
