Subject: [VICUG-L] "mouse over" = ??
Date: Thu, 6 Mar 2008 11:03:48 -0800

Becky's asked about a shortcut for "mouse over.

I've heard this term somewhere before but have no idea
of what it means or for what it might be used. Can anyone enlighten me?

What on mouse over means is, when you're using jaws and you're reading down a web page, when you hear it say "link, and whatever the link says on mouse over, you can click the same link item, but using the mouse.
You can turn this off by the way.
When in IE 6 or 7, just press insert 6 to bring up the jaws IE configuration manager, then press the alt key and the letter s for set options menu, then h for html options, then control shift tab till you get on the misc page, then tab down till it says indicate element atribute and uncheck that box using the spacebar.
then tab down to ok and press enter, then press alt f4 to leave the configuration manager, then when it asks if you want to save the changes, answer yes
