as regards (the unofficial) LSP socket interface, it requires threads,
which SBCL only provides on Linux (x86 and AMD64). thus, i am afraid,
shuly and bernhard may be stuck with Linux for the time being.
if there were increasing demand for MacOS (x86), i would be prepared to
work on porting the LKB and [incr tsdb()]. it would require someone to
provide a machine and an (Enterprise-level) ACL and CLIM license.
