loading Loom 4.0 in Allegro 6.2

I have been trying to load Loom 4.0 in International Allegro CL Trial
Edition 6.2 on a Windows 2000 machine.

So far, when loading the file compile-loom.lisp it fails at loading
pathnames.lisp with a "file does not exist" error.  The file is definitely
in the folder.  I have tried setting pathnames in the code of
compile-loom.lisp, but have not had any luck so far.

(I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I have been using the UNIX
version of the source files)

Any ideas?
