   review and defect fixes and relevant procedures for research
   software development
* Writing and presenting scientific papers for international
   journals and conferences
* Maintaining a working knowledge of the state-of-the-art in

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate all or many=20
of these key qualities:

* A proven research background in image processing, pattern
   recognition, and/or artificial intelligence
* Doctorate in Mathematics, Computer Science or other
   numerate discipline
* Advanced research experience in machine learning and
   classification preferred
* Knowledge of Matlab, C++, and object-oriented programming
* Understanding of Medical Physics including CT, MRI, and
   Ultrasound, is useful
* Ability to deal with steep learning curves and work to
   tight timeframes
* Strong team working and communication skills
* Particular preference will be given to candidates with
   experience in medical imaging applications, especially
   Computer Aided Detection (CAD) and Computer Aided Diagnosis
   (CADx) tools
