Footnotes in documentation

Hello,

While on the topic of documentation, something that has been mildly
annoying since I first started reading (the otherwise excellent) SWI-Prolog
documentation site:

"Footnotes" are at the moment implemented as pop-ups that only show while
hovering with the mouse over the footnote reference.

1. The font size is ridiculously small compared to the normal text
2. The text is sometimes ridiculously long (basically a thin one-line
stripe across the whole witdth of the browser window)
3. While there are sometimes links within footnotes, I have not figured out
a way to click on them

A solution would be to leave things as they are but include the footnote
contents as actual footnotes at the bottom of the page, or better, the
bottom of the subsection they are contained within (or, alternatively,
before the following subsection -- whichever comes first).
