	maybe emphasis should be put on getting the various bits together,
	rather than polishing the editor first. (after assurances that it is possible with reasonable effort).
	a move towards a browser based IDE would hopefully also help
	with weeding out XPCE dependencies from the base system.
        if there are any prototypes, do feel free to share.
