Dear all,

Many of us carry powerful and expensive smartphones with us. Sadly,
despite some of those devices run a Linux kernel (Android), it is not
possible to install arbitrary software without rooting the device. I
personally believe that the artificial limitations that vendors impose
on smartphones (which have little difference with PCs) are actually
hindering our freedom, innovation, and research in programming
languages. This is may be a great opportunity for everyone and a step
in the right direction.

For those of you interested in running open-source software and
writting applications in programming languages other than Objective-C
or Java, this may be the perfect hardware:

Please, feel free to tell everyone who may be interested about this
fundraising campaign. I have no affiliation at all with Ubuntu or that
particular project.

Best Regards,
