Hello,
I'd also like to share that the next forthcoming DES version 3.3.3 does
not require any change to run on the new SWI-Prolog 7.1.1 development
version. All the tests went just fine.
Thanks again for making SWI available, Jan.
All the best,
Fernando

In particular, all unit tests pass in both modes. The changes required for compatibility with SWI-Prolog V7 were small. A single one due to [] no longer being am atom (in a parametric object example, [] as used as the object identifier, which must be an atom or a compound term). A couple of changes due to "..." being by default a string instead of a list of codes. A few DCGs examples and a XML parser contribution were fixed by simply setting the double_quotes flag explicitly to codes. Also included is a small patch by Jan to the DCG compiler to support usage of strings. The changes took less than a half day of work (including testing).
