I was an active ILP researcher from 1995 - 2003. The software list at Wikipedia should be viewed with caution. Many of the systems on the list existed in my time (annotated with a * below). ILP systems can be hard to fly, so my advice is choose one which is used by people who are _not_ the original author and hence have some rudimentary usability. A literature search might be advisable. The ILP field has moved on somewhat and has been researching the incorporation of probabilities -- check out Probabilistic Rational Models. That said, I am keen to get a version of Aleph 5 that works on SWI-Prolog as I am just starting a project that seems to fit its (broad and deep) capabilities. -- Steve PS: The earliest ILP system on the list is Shapiro's MIS from his thesis/book "Algorithmic Program Debugging" (http://www.cs.yale.edu/publications/techreports/tr237.pdf).
