From the docs: "Note that older Debian based distributions, including
the Debian stable (Squeeze (6.0)) ship with libunwind7-dev instead of
libunwind8-dev.". Strangely enough, Debian has no plain libunwind
package, so you
have to find the available version yourself using
apt-cache search libunwind
You don't need it. The only advantage is that if the system crashes, it
prints a somewhat
readable backtrace of the C-stack. That sometimes gives developers a
clue on what went wrong.
