Re: "Weka-3.8.6" is damaged and can't be opened, with Apple M1 chip and macOS Monterey

It looks like you are running macOS 12.2.1, which apparently came out only
two days ago. I don't have access to an Intel-based Mac that can run
Monterey (my iMac is too old), but I'll upgrade the ARM Mac I have access
to (which is currently still at 12.2) and take a look at what happens on
that platform.

Googling around for one of the key bits in the crash report, 'NSWindow drag
regions should only be invalidated on the Main Thread!', it seems that this
might be a problem with recent JVMs or JavaFX.

Just to make sure it's not due to one of the WEKA packages, it would be
good if you could try to start WEKA after temporarily renaming your
wekafiles folder (which should be in your user home).

If all else fails, as a band aid solution, you could download a Java 8
JVM/JRE to install on your system and run WEKA from a terminal using

  java -jar /Applications/weka-3.8.6.app/Contents/app/weka.jar

It would be useful to know whether others have observed this kind of crash
on macOS.
