Hi there,

intentionally cross-posting.

During release tests for httpd 2.4.63 I noticed, that APU branch 1.7.x
is not in good shape wrt. ldap. It has been refactored last year and on
my systems the observation is:

- its ldap support does not build an RHEL 6 and SLES 11 using platform
gcc building against OpenLDAP

- its ldap support does not build on Solaris 10 using gcc 9.5 and
platform LDAP

- httpd 2.4.63 ldap support does not build against APU 1.7.x on RHEL 7,
8 and 9 and on SLES 12 and 15

I don't know what to do, but the ldap refactoring applied to APU 1.7.x
in 2024 seems to be not mature.

I have send detailed build errors to the apr dev list yesterday.

Best regards,

Rainer
