Testing will take a bit of time, but two remarks, none of them critical and IMHO they are not a reason for a new tag. - the tag has an additional dot: git checkout v.2.6.9 instead of v2.6.9 - the version number in the sources now has a trailing "-git". Some versions (tags) have it in the file, some not.
