FWIW, the website is markdown now. It=E2=80=99s just the manual that=E2=80=
=99s weird bespoke XML.

I keep looking for ways to improve the =E2=80=9Chistorical artifact=E2=80=9D=
nature of so much of our website, and I feel like I=E2=80=99m always =
riding the fence between losing history and making it look like this is =
a modern project that=E2=80=99s still relevant. Possibly intentionally =
splitting the site in =E2=80=9Chistorical=E2=80=9D and =E2=80=9Ccurrent=E2=
=80=9D sections would be an approach that could work.
