Is anyone actually responsible for reviewing these issues?

This is a fairly important piece of information which impacts real world use
and is undocumented.

This has been sat on for 9 months and the status of this issue is still "NEW".

I've tried to seek a reviewer in the mailing list too. What else can I do?
