Fixed in trunk (r1933538) and 2.4 (r1933539).

The SSLUserName documentation incorrectly stated the directive "has no effect"
with FakeBasicAuth. In reality, SSLUserName controls which certificate field is
used as the username, and without it REMOTE_USER may not be set for other
modules and CGI scripts. Updated the description to accurately reflect this
behavior and also mention AuthBasicFake.
