This does not really specify the option; there is still no specification of
behavior for symlinks when the option is disabled. But I will consider this
solved since that is not the angle which brought me here.

Note that the note is a little confusing, assuming the option is enabled right
after treating the disabled case. I would suggest s/Even though/Even when/.
