Bug ID: 70081
Summary: Compiling and Installing: Download section asks to
download “from the Apache HTTP Server download site”
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.5-HEAD
Hardware: All
URL: https://httpd.apache.org/docs/trunk/en/install.html#do
wnload
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: Documentation
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
The Download section of the Compiling and Installing page starts with:
> If you wish to build from source, start by downloading the source tarball from the Apache HTTP Server download site.
In fact, the website asks not to download from apache.org, and rather use
mirrors.
I suggest:
> If you wish to build from source, start by downloading the source.
…with a link on “downloading the source”.
By the way, the download page already says to verify the integrity.
