Hi all, I wanted to raise some ongoing concerns about Apache OpenServerless (incubating) with the IPMC. OpenServerless has been incubating since June 2024, nearly two years, and has not made a single ASF release. The pattern across the past several report cycles is consistent: - No releases and no concrete release timeline - Mailing list activity is minimal, consisting almost entirely of automated GitHub messages - No new committers or PPMC members since August 2024 - The build system was described as phased out due to expired cloud credits, with the project requesting AWS resources to continue, which is a concern for a project at this stage - Their reports have omitted information Mentor comments in the March report directly reflect these concerns. JB Onofre noted very low mailing list activity and asked for an update and a plan. PJ Fanning stated that there has been no obvious progress on the first release and disagreed with any framing of graduation. I sent a detailed private message to the podling approximately one month ago covering release status, decision-making processes, mailing list engagement, and the cloud resource dependency. That message received no response. Given that the next report is not due until June, I don't think it is appropriate to wait another couple of months. I'd like the IPMC's view on whether we should initiate a retirement discussion on the general list. Kind regards, Justin
