mod_layout 3.2 SSL/Forms via POST

I have Apache 1.3.27 with mod_layout 3.2 installed on my server and I notice
that when I submit forms via SSL using POST that Netscape 7 and others have
problems and the browser will just stall and sit there. I notice from 
the mailinglist
this appears to be a problem that other people are experiencing but 
there doesn't
seem to be any solution? Does someone have a fix for this? Is there a 
plan to
fix this? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
