Apache Segfault Issue

Hi

I run a site where the sizes of pages change often  (Like the old wwwboard).
Now and then one of the HTML files will continuously cause apache to
segfault when the page is called. The only way to fix the problem is to
change the size of the page, I usually just open the file in pico , add a
space, save the page and it works again. This is more of an annoyance than
anything. Just wondering if anyone else sees this problem, or can point me
in the right direction to look for a fix.

Apache 1.3.28 same behavior with many versions of apache
mod_layout/2.11.14 the 3.0 version just continuously segfault and seem to
ignore the LayOutHeaderOff directive
