mod_layout with several hundreds vhost

Hello,

first, sorry for my english, it's not my primary language.

I've installed mod_layout on my customer's account for testing and with 
disabled compression fonctions (for IBP or phpBB), it works great. With 
a few domains, it's perfect, but I've some 400-vhost files and for each 
file, the mod_layout directive applies. The server comes to 50 or 60 
load average and freeze (so logical, isn't it ?).

After verifying the process, I have found that the RAM was 97% over and 
the server had to used the swap ...

Does someone have the same problem with a very important number of files ?
