mod_layout with apache at solaris 8

Dear all:
I install mod_layout 3.2.1 with apache 1.3.31.
but I restart apache, I got a message bellow:
Trying to insert </body>
ADDING LAYOUT:</body> (3) (4)(1)
Segmentation Fault - core dumped
And I try to use mod_layout 3.2 with apache 1.3.31.
but I cat restart apache, I got nothing at my HTML and PHP file.
Could anyone tell me what's problem?
