Here we go... It's not about limits, everything is monitored here: CPU,
disk and memory. There is a pool of machines for this task and the bug
happens in each machine with the same HTML content. 

Honestly, I'm not sure if it is a bug in mod_layout or in APR stuff.
Unfortunately(?) Solaris now-days is not so much used as Linux and bugs
are hidden there.

A few days ago I sent a mail about a bug concerning -DDEBUG flag in Mac
OS X or SPARC which cause segfault. I know you guys are not interested
in further development of 3.x series, but considere a bit, at least Mac
OS X 10.4 (Tiger) uses Apache 1.3 as default.
