Fwd: mod_layout appending HTTP headers?

I sent this question last week, and I haven't gotten a response since 
Thursday.  Is no one else out there having a similar problem?  Today I 
packed up Apache 2.0.46 and tried mod_layout with that, and got the 
same results.  The first few loads of the page were fine, but after 
that I started getting the HTTP headers in the HTML output.
