mod_log_sql and apache rewrite rules

Many thanks to Edward for sorting out the segmentation fault so quickly. 
That is all working now.

I have another question.  We use RewriteRules in apache and mod_log_sql is 
logging the result of the rewrite rule rather than the original request. 
Is this as expected?  If so is there a way of logging the original request 
before it gets re-written by apache.  Our apache logs show the original 
request.
