you need to specify --with-apxs /Library/Apache2/bin/apxs (or where ever the APXS binary is for apache 2) to configure.. ./configure --with-apxs=/Library/Apache2/bin/apxs The very end of the configure run shows that it found apache 1.3 NOT apache 2.0 and compiled an apache 1.3 module. The warning about -L paths not being found is because your mysql headers and libs are in different locations that the default locations I assume, but it seems as through they are in the default include path and library path so the linker is finding them. Try passing the parameters to ./configure and see if it find apache 2. The end of the configure run should display Apache version : 20 SSL Support : no You can run ./configure --help to give a list of other parameters to pass to configure. (ie --enable-ssl to enable SSL logging support) On Sat, 2004-02-14 at 20:36, Anders Boegh Mortensen wrote: > Thanx for all the feedback! :-) but i had no luck... > > First of all - configure does not seem to find my Apache2installation > witch is: /Library/Apache2/ > Here is the dump from ./configure: > ----------------- > checking for gcc... gcc > checking for C compiler default output... a.out > checking whether the C compiler works... yes > checking whether we are cross compiling... no > checking for suffix of executables... > checking for suffix of object files... o > checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes > checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes > checking build system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.2.0 > checking host system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.2.0 > checking target system type... powerpc-apple-darwin7.2.0 > checking for apxs... /usr/sbin/apxs > checking for Apache 2.0 version >= 2.0.44... no > checking for Apache 1.3 version >= 1.3.20... yes > checking for floor in -lm... yes > checking for gzclose in -lz... yes > checking for mysql_init in -lmysqlclient... yes > checking for mysql_real_escape_string... yes > checking whether mysql clients can run... yes > checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E > checking for ANSI C header files... no > checking for sys/types.h... yes > checking for sys/stat.h... yes > checking for stdlib.h... yes > checking for string.h... yes > checking for memory.h... yes > checking for strings.h... yes > checking for inttypes.h... yes > checking for stdint.h... yes > checking for unistd.h... yes > checking limits.h usability... yes > checking limits.h presence... yes > checking for limits.h... yes > configure: creating ./config.status > config.status: creating stamp-h > config.status: creating Makefile > config.status: creating Documentation/Makefile > config.status: creating config.h > ------------------------------------ > Apache version : 13 > SSL Support : no > *** Use --enable-ssl to enable SSL support > *** and --with-ssl-inc for the directory for SSL headers > ----------------- > > > Second - i dont know if make i succeeding: > ------------ > gcc -DDARWIN -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I../lib/expat-lite -g -Os-pipe > -DHARD_SERVER_LIMIT=2048 -DEAPI -DSHARED_MODULE-I/usr/include/httpd > -Wall -Werror -fno-strict-aliasing-I/usr/local/mysql/include > -I/usr/include/mysql -I/usr/mysql/include-I/usr/local/include/mysql > -I/usr/local/mysql/include/mysql-I/usr/mysql/include/mysql > -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DWITH_APACHE13 -cmod_log_sql.c > cc -bundle -undefined suppress -flat_namespace -Wl,-bind_at_load > -omod_log_sql.so mod_log_sql.o -L/usr/local/mysql/lib > -L/usr/lib/mysql-L/usr/mysql/lib -L/usr/local/lib/mysql > -L/usr/local/mysql/lib/mysql-L/usr/mysql/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient -lz > -lm > ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/lib/mysql) does not exist > ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/mysql/lib) does not exist > ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/local/lib/mysql) does not exist > ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/mysql/lib/mysql) does not exist > Making all in Documentation > ------------ > > it outputs the'mod_log_sql.so'but i does'nt seem to work when copied > to /Library/Apache2/modules andi apply the Loadmodule: > ------- > LoadModule log_sql_module modules/mod_log_sql.so > ------- > > and do a graceful restart i get: > ---------- > Cannot load /Library/Apache2/modules/mod_log_sql.so into server: > dyld:/Library/Apache2/bin/httpd Undefined symbols: > _ap_array_cat > _ap_bgetopt > _ap_ctx_get > _ap_get_gmtoff > _ap_make_array > _ap_make_sub_pool > _ap_palloc > _ap_pcalloc > _ap_pfclose > _ap_pfopen > _ap_psprintf > _ap_pstrcat > _ap_pstrdup > _ap_push_array > _ap_signal > _ap_snprintf > _ap_table_get > _ap_unparse_uri_components > ----------- > > Maby this ring a bell for someone - well not for me :-) > > //Anders > > On 14/2-2004, at 03:02, Edward Rudd wrote: > > Is configure failing to complete correctly?
