you need to specify --with-apxs /Library/Apache2/bin/apxs (or where ever
the APXS binary is for apache 2) to configure..

./configure --with-apxs=/Library/Apache2/bin/apxs

The very end of the configure run shows that it found apache 1.3 NOT
apache 2.0 and compiled an apache 1.3 module.

The warning about -L paths not being found is because your mysql headers
and libs are in different locations that the default locations I assume,
but it seems as through they are in the default include path and library
path so the linker is finding them.

Try passing the parameters to ./configure and see if it find apache 2.
The end of the configure run should display

Apache version : 20
SSL Support : no

You can run ./configure --help to give a list of other parameters to
pass to configure. (ie --enable-ssl to enable SSL logging support)
