mod_log_sql not logging; also no debug output

I have recently install the mod_log_sql module on a FC3 box and had no problems
with installation. However, I can't seem to get any output from the mod_log_sql
module. It will generate error messages to the apache error log if there is a
mis- configured connection, but the debug setting does not generate output to
the Errorlog file:

LogLevel debug
ErrorLog /usr/local/apache2/logs/logsql-messages 

The Mysql log file is not getting any messages either, so I'm at a loss where to
look for debugging help. I have gotten the mod_log_sql package to work on a SUSE
system (with a abit of tinkering), so I know what it should do...

Any help would be appreciated.
