Autocreate: how to set the engine?

Hello,
is there a way to set the database engine used with the autocreate feature?
I plan to use a high-performance-engine (like InnoDB or even NDB) for 
the daily logs and then transfer the data to a compressed MyISAM table 
just for the lookups.
