RE: winamp

This is because winamp is designed to work with shoutcast server. The reson you get this problem is because Winamp (*the mp3 decoder) appears different than the mini-browser. Shoutcast server looks at the user_agent field that winamp, and the mini-browser both send. Based on what it see's it will either start spewing out mp3 streams at you, or display html. That way you can have winamp play music from a site, and browse content from the server by simply using two diff user_agent strings. In short, shoutcast looks for the string "Mozilla", before sending html. Otherwise the default is to send mp3 streams.

Mod_mp3 simply doesn't have this notion. My advice is to turn off the mini-browser, and use ie, or mozilla ;)

Hi, is there a way to get it so when I'm streaming it in winamp, that if the mini browser is open, it wont try to download the stream, I can show a page?
