Just give the machine a hostname in /etc/hosts.
Make something up, it doesn't matter.

If you browse from another machine, put the apache server ip/hostname in
that machines hosts table too. 
You could also do this by IP only.

No, don't have one. My computer is on a local lan and
I am new to linux, so no dns yet, so no domain either.
