Yes i am using binary transfer, and i found that some files dont work when i scp them either. I cant seem to find any consistancys in the files that dont work (eg. bit rate, title, length.) ---- Original Message ---- From: Disnard, Jon <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Subject: RE: [Mod_mp3] Playing Files Sent: Fri, 10 Jan 2003 14:06:51 -0500 Did you use binary file transfer, or did you let ftp use the ASCI? Sometimes if you x-fer files from a Microsoft box, to a unix box, you can corrupt binary files with FTP. SCP by default moves files in binary safe way. -Jon -----Original Message----- From: Sent: Friday, January 10, 2003 11:54 To: [email protected] Subject: [Mod_mp3] Playing Files Seem to be having playing certain files, and not sure what the problem is. I scp'd some files up to the server and they will play fine. Then i try to ftp some up from home, and when i try to play them in real player it says it cant play this type of document, and xmms just sits there...any ideas? thanx
