RE: Playing Files

Yes i am using binary transfer, and i found that some files dont work when i scp them either. I cant seem to find any consistancys in the files that dont work (eg. bit rate, title, length.)

Did you use binary file transfer, or did you let ftp use the ASCI?
Sometimes if you x-fer files from a Microsoft box, to a unix box, you
can corrupt binary files with FTP. SCP by default moves files in binary
safe way.

Seem to be having playing certain files, and not sure what the problem
is. I scp'd some files up to the server and they will play fine. Then i
try to ftp some up from home, and when i try to play them in real player
it says it cant play this type of document, and xmms just sits
there...any ideas? thanx
