upgrade causes disk full

Hi Brian et al.

    I just upgraded to mod_mp3-0.40-1  (from .35!) and I'm pleased that 
it fixed a few things, but one fix apparently was to do verbose logging. 
  The unfortunate result was that some [expletive deleted] web crawler 
(inktomi) repeatedly  requests non-existent links, and both my httpd 
error log and mp3 log grow huge and fill up my root partition!  At the 
rate of about a gigabyte per hour it fills up fast too.  I get millions 
of lines like this in the httpd error log:

[Sun Mar 28 06:39:06 2004] [error] [client 66.196.90.77] File not found: 
(null)(Bad address)

and like this in my mp3.log:

[26/Mar/2004:20:08:46 -0600] 59a19afd4878986d59e6be4e3c3d730d (null) (null)

I say they are non-existent because I can download a playlist of all 
songs and I don't see that link in there.  

Any ideas?  OK, I just noticed I had a few files that were read-only by 
root, and changed that.  Seems like all bad links should return an empty 
file (instead of an error),  and I really don't care for them to be 
logged at all.  Any directives for that?  For now I have had to block 
that whole subnet, but it seems like a "Denial Of Service" waiting to 
happen!
