Hi! Finally (after what has been probably 2 years) I have Apache 2.0 support in mod_mp3. There are probably a ton of bugs but we have been using it today with itunes and xmms with only sporadic issues. The stream though has been fine, aka no skipping, jitteriness, and such. You can get a copy of it via cvs at cvs.tangent.org, the mod_mp3 project (the mod_mp3-2 tree was a false start, I will remove it soon). To make the nightmare of supporting Apache2 and Apache1 partially palatable I have switched to using GNU autoconf. This means to build from CVS you will need to first run: sh build/bootstrap After that run configure. I haven't tested with any support other then the internal dispatch so I have no idea if these others work. They did the last time I tried though :) Hopefully I have the issues with Apache 2 fixed, so I can get back to doing more fun things with it. BTW different browsers are having issues with the current support. iTunes and xmms are the only players we have tested. I suspect that the issue with browsers is just a bad content-length header. I will have to tear it apart later. Have fun! -Brian -- _______________________________________________________ Brian "Krow" Aker, [email protected] Seattle, Washington http://krow.net/ http://askbrian.org/ _______________________________________________________ You can't grep a dead tree.
