database dispatch problem

Hi all, new to mod_mp3 and I'm having a problem the
FAQ and mailing list archives isn't solving.  I have a
large mp3 library and got mod_mp3 working with
internal dipatch and everything is great.  Then I try
to use the pgsql or mysql dispatch and the song
doesn't start.  The database gets populated on start
in both cases and op=select gives me the list but the
song doesn't start.  I used asfrecorder -d to see if
the headers would help me, but they are identical. 
Thanks for any pointers in the direction of solving
