Hi,

I have a ubuntu-14.04 system with apache2.4 installed via apt.

  uname -a
  Linux ubuntu 3.13.0-32-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 15 03:51:08 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Then I have perl-5.22.1 installed from source with

   ./Configure -des -Dprefix=/opt/perl -Duseithreads
   make make install

and try to install mod_perl-2.0.9:
    /opt/perl/bin/perl Makefile.PL MP_APXS=/usr/bin/apxs2

and get:
