proxy keep-alives question

Suppose I've got KeepAlives enabled on my mod_proxy server (reverse proxy). If a browser is enabled for keep alives, but the back-end web server isn't, is there still a kept-alive http session between the browser and my mod_proxy? thanks, Doug
