ERb under mod_ruby: SecurityError

I just tried setting up ERb 2.0.4 under mod_ruby 1.2.0, and I'm seeing 
the following error:

`handler'

Does anyone know of a fix for this? I'm a bit wary of erb using eval to 
execute the code, but I don't know how else it could do what it does...
