Hrm, very strange. I don't see anything in particular wrong with that second script. In fact, I copied it and pasted and I don't get any null pointer errors on my system. You said that this script works fine outside of apache? Below is my apache config: LoadModule ruby_module /usr/lib/httpd/modules/mod_ruby.so <IfModule mod_ruby.c> RubyRequire apache/ruby-run # Excucute files under /ruby as Ruby scripts <Location /ruby> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance </Location> # Execute *.rbx files as Ruby scripts <Files *.rbx> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance </Files> </IfModule> <IfModule mod_ruby.c> RubyRequire apache/eruby-run # Handle files under /eruby as eRuby files <Location /eruby> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::ERubyRun.instance </Location> # Handle *.rhtml files as eRuby files <Files *.rhtml> SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::ERubyRun.instance </Files> </IfModule> On Thu, 18 Nov 2004 15:43:45 +0100, flim <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello list, > let me throw in a friendly hello first - I'm new to the list and new to ruby > in general as well. > > I've come across ruby some days ago in a newspaper article and wanted to give > it a try, mainly because I need something to play with that's different from > what I'm normally doing.
