Mod Ruby acting as if it is not installed

I'm trying to get mod_ruby to run a Rails app.  I'm running the SVN trunk 
version, but it seems as if it is not even being invoked.  I had the same 
results with the 1.2.4 version of mod_ruby.

Please help me.

I'm running Apache 2.0.54, mod_ruby-HEAD (1.2.5?), and rails 0.14.2.

my .htaccess and dispatch.rb is attached.
