deadlock (fatal)

I keep getting this [Thu Jan 18 15:29:08 2007] [error] mod_ruby: /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/apache/ruby-run.rb:53:in `value': Thread(0xb7009748): deadlock (fatal) [Thu Jan 18 15:29:08 2007] [error] mod_ruby: error in ruby in my logs. I have just one ruby script which reads some params and spits something from a database. It succeeds about half the time, the other half I get the error above. What deadlock is it talking about?
