multipath for spread-3.17.x?

hi,

i want to build a redundant router environment based on spread/wackamole.

while this essentially is working fine i noticed that it's not possible to 
add redundant communication links between the redundant routers - so if any 
network problem arises you certainly end up in a 'split brain' situation.

looking through the documentation and the mailing lists i came across the 
so called 'multipath' patch for spread - but unfortunately this patch seems 
to be only suitable for spread-3.16.x ...

i was wondering if the multipath patch has already been ported to the 
latest spread release ... - any luck? :-)
