Sorry for taking so long to get back to you; the beginning of the
semester can be really busy.

I tested the case where there's no RPC library available (the stock case
with the newest glibc) and it works fine and disabled ndmp
automatically.  I also tested the case where the libtirpc development
files are available and it does appear to detect them and build ndmp as
expected.

I have no way to actually test the ndmp support, though, but I've turned
it back on in the Fedora packages just in case someone was using it.
