Excellent, this points towards the "tape inventory" part of the code. Can you take a look around your system to see if you can find where the tape changer stores inventory information, internally? (If you don't find it immediately I can look in the source to try to figure out the path it would use, but hopefully its easy enough to figure outjust looking thorugh amanda-related directories on your system.) If we can find that file, it may be able to see some "wierd" data that could be causing a crash by looking at the file directly.
