I am assuming you mean something like:

CREATE FUNCTION pg_stop_backup ( ) RETURNS TABLE ( lsn pg_lsn, labelfile

CREATE FUNCTION pg_start_backup(label text) RETURNS pg_lsn
    AS 'pg_backup_start'
    LANGUAGE internal
    STRICT;
