My server have 3 amanda configs where the storage is vTapes, no problem here, including amrecover. In one of the configs I am using a tape robot for vaulting the vTapes to phisical ones. No problem with amvault command. When I was to recover some real data that was old enough to be present on the vault tapes, that I found that amrecover is failing to use the tape with an error of something like "permission denied" of the tape device. As user root and backup (amanda user on Debian) can use the tape, I do not know what is the problem. >=20 > Cheers, > Nuno Kind regards Jose M Calhariz >=20 > On Sat, 2025-03-08 at 20:44 +0000, Jose M Calhariz wrote: > > Hi, > >=20 > > While preparing a new package for Debian of amanda 3.5.4, I made > > several tests with a compile for Debian v12.=A0 Was after the tests I > > found some problems using a tape robot and amrecover.=A0 No problem was > > found using vTapes. > >=20 > > Can we share experiencies using tape robot and amanda 3.5.4 to help > > me > > delimit the bug. > >=20 > > Kind regards > > Jose M Calhariz > >=20 >=20 --=20 -- Mais vale um cachorro amigo que um amigo cachorro. -- Anonimo --8mpf689oR/FzVJbZ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCgAdFiEERkvHzUOf7l6LQJigNIp3jWiF748FAmfO8qIACgkQNIp3jWiF 748NvBAAhAYF5kVCzkTOGlXFBbapvaXnepn17DXEoMThSxVacVr7/rdhc4qHX09T UWzS+ljzGdZSrR9fOZNzT3n/+T3S9jFzKrbSF/IQc9eyoSH892cZUtobxsOFBHY3 MKbWqMhpZbZxSfggXMFMkZhm0UPMX7U1RIMGKRsweNz0Wnk2//pmagOO1NH3EiKs rcQJIPMRIsVG/mHa9zzN71nzomD274f1oTG/l7QyxbaNeXz7MzJwQNqKvlgcyD73 N855mIOVkCGTtMfYXTLdMTyarOxDYbyj0EmFWQ809q9YGsJrR9lFfuLVLPYPx8/n +x+nx7XR7sSTUDCSmOPcZOsBBKxFRYLX6H1zhkcy+JZUJwhUZJcTxCioTLbwaP8i tHRl9Wnv8LpHUKosRuEHuNlOBZwe8vxq/jEcU8DCcHOL1oZRCzd1DPoiaKUZFCtA uKCFtr5fBQGWA/6W20n1aFvUx9ql9jBNxYgWfjUdh6okdnu68KrcreKfEtEPr92d mxEOy2mzl8cAMUnPhEHgeSkJVcnO1/R15NQ5h3Eu4SYe9pXEivDlx8oWCjAQ9nSC MgBSiVxsBaU31LziaCKWte31CL1mS+5gkZXmwjkNGNJJ3u/wt6MVcaNwR49Jm/s2 4idMnqTMM2t3sjdtqsltf7xRpLQjvX3AaOv49/ErQx5KrSEzbww= =MU9I -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --8mpf689oR/FzVJbZ--
